HI WONDERLAND TEAM!
I HAVE SOME PLEASANT NEWS FOR U. WHEN THE OLD REFERENCE IS REPLACED WITH THE NEW RIG I CREATED WITH TSM, IT MAKES THE OLD ANIMATION SCREWED UP, SO MR JACQUES SUGGESTS ME TO CREATE ANOTHER NEW RIG WITH HIS AUTO RIG. LET'S CELEBRATE BY REDOING THE WHOLE ANIMATION. CHEERS!@#$

How screwed? everything distorted?
ReplyDeleteya. it's actually because of the IK attributes, which are different due to the different proportions of the old and the new models, so all the movements which invovles IK(the arm and legs) are all messed up. Its my fault, should have tested whether the animation works before even doing blendshape and paint weight.
ReplyDeleteActually if that's the case then why don't we use the new TSM rig? You already paintweighted and went through so much trouble, I don't see what's the point of rerigging if the current one already works.
ReplyDeletehey good point daryl. I think it's a pretty good idea.
ReplyDeleteBut Mr Jacques feels that the rig is not possible to render on the render farm as the plug in for the rig is needed. Furthermore, Evelyn has heavy textures and so rendering on the school computers will be very long. So rather than continuing with the rig, he suggests me to start a new one with his auto rig. So even when there are problems found, he's there to help since he understands about the auto rig.
Dont worry about the render farm, I had Mr. Chris help to install the plug-in on all the computers so it won't be a problem. Well right now it's doing things efficiently, and rerigging is about the most inefficient thing that can be done. I vote that if the Alice rig is done and has no problems then the animating can start while the parents rig get done at the same time.
